Overview
This section brings together physicians and other healthcare professionals who are interested in health information technology and issues related to electronic health records as well as a broader range of digital health. Its purpose is to gauge members’ information and knowledge needs and to educate members on health information technology through activities such as:
- How to select a suitable EHR for a medical practice
- Providing standards and member education about telemedicine
- Interfacing with other ACOEM groups regarding meaningful use criteria and tools for coding Industry and Occupation
- Interfacing with EHR vendors about EHR specifications and the needs of OEM practices
In addition, the section will hold an annual in-person meeting in conjunction with AOHC.
