WORKSITE VISITS

Worksite visits will take place on Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st. Please note, Worksite Visits are ticketed events. Registration Is limited, and in addition to AOHC 2024 registration.

Backstage Tour to Disney's Animal Kingdom - SOLD OUT!
Backstage tour with one of the veterinarians at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Learn about how Disney ensures the safety of the cast who take care of over 2000 animals.   Session will describe the occupational medicine practices, as well as tour our animal care facility and some  animal locations.

Visit to the Orlando Fire Academy
Participants will experience components of the most widely used pre-placement functional evaluation - the Candidate Physical Abilities Test – and will have the opportunity to climb stairs, drag hose, carry equipment, force entry, raise ladders, drag dummies, breach ceilings and experience what firefighters should be able to do as part of their academy training. The tour of the training facilities will allow participants to learn more about the demands of a firefighting occupation and have an opportunity to discuss with expert trainers the policies, practices and procedures used to safely train effective firefighters, including NFPA 1582.

Experience the Future of Healthcare: Virtual, Artificial, and Extended Reality at the University of Central Florida, Institute for Simulation and Training
Visit UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training to learn about and experience how virtual reality (VR), artificial reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) will change health care.  Lead by internationally renowned subject matter experts, site visit participants will interact with technologies such as the digital human twin, and discuss the ways in which these technologies can augment and extend clinic decision making and the patient/provider experience.
