Committee Charges

  1. Supports the College's vision, mission, strategic plan, and principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.  
  2. Review activities of the college to ensure and promote the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) as appropriate.
  3. Assess barriers to implementing changes.
  4. Elevate importance and increase awareness of cultural and religious days of significance when planning ACOEM meetings and activities.
  5. Increase awareness of events of cultural significance to ACOEM membership. 
  6. Develop and implement tools for ACOEM members to support culturally competent care.
  7. Develop and implement effective communication mechanism(s) among stakeholders to address JEDI concerns. 
  8. Position occupational and environmental medicine physicians and other providers and ACOEM to be leaders in advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion through education and research.
