ACOEM Names Craig Sondalle New Chief Executive Officer

The American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) announces the appointment of Craig Sondalle as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective November 1, 2022.
 
“After a comprehensive national search, we are pleased to welcome Craig Sondalle,” said ACOEM Board President Doug Martin, MD, FAADEP, FAAFP, FACOEM. “The Board and Search Committee were impressed with Craig’s experience with guiding multiple organizations and his proven track record of strategic excellence.”
 
Craig has had a 25+ year career in association leadership, most recently as Executive Vice President of the Association Solutions division of MCI USA. He joined the engagement and experience agency after the acquisition of Sentergroup, a leading Chicago-based association management company he founded in 2000 and led as CEO through 19 years of corporate and client-focused success. Through Craig’s stewardship and approach to value-based leadership, Sentergroup provided innovative, tailored, and growth-orientated membership, marketing, education, event, and strategy solutions to a broad portfolio of association and non-profit organizations. Throughout his career, Craig has led and supported close to 50 associations, including a large and diverse roster within the health care arena.

Having been born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin, Craig is an avid outdoorsman and stalwart fan and alum of the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is most passionate about being a husband to his wife and father to his two sons. Craig and his family reside in Lake County, Ill.
 
He will work with the Board, outgoing interim CEO Vincent D. Keenan, MSPH, CAE, and ACOEM staff over the coming months to ensure an effective and seamless transition.
