ACOEM Participates in Global Thought Leaders Summit
ACOEM Board of Directors President Dr. Jill Rosenthal represented the College at the International Occupational Medicine Society Collaborative’s (IOMSC) Global Thought Leaders Summit in Geneva, Switzerland on May 21-22, 2026.
Dr. Rosenthal said, “The Summit was transformative and inspirational. It allowed me to better understand how the world looks to ACOEM as a source of education around best practices. I was so proud to represent ACOEM among all the distinguished participants. Our partnership with IOMSC and Society of Occupational Medicine (SOM) allows us to live our mission, vision, and values.”
In 2013, ACOEM was one of the founding occupational medicine societies of IOMSC that now has a global network of 53 societies across 48 countries.

The Well-Being and Cancer at Work (WeCanWork) project, now in its fifth year, has developed a referral pathway connecting oncology care teams with occupational medicine physicians to help patients navigate workplace challenges during treatment.
ACOEM Delegates Attend AMA 2026 Annual Meeting
ACOEM's delegation – Delegates Kenji Saito, MD, JD, FACOEM, and Allison Jones, MD, MS, FACOEM, and Alternate Delegates Romero Santiago, MD, MPH, FACOEM, and Albert Osbahr III, MD, MSCM, FACOEM – represented the College at the AMA 2026 Annual Meeting, held June 5-9 in Chicago.
The delegation secured several notable achievements. Dr. Jones helped contribute to ACOEM's successful reinstatement as a full member of the Mobility Caucus, opening new opportunities for collaboration on education and policy related to mobility, function, impairment, and return-to-work issues.
ACOEM also sponsored two resolutions – one on respiratory protection for wildland firefighters, which was adopted, and another regarding the AMA Guides, which was adopted in a modified form.
