About ACOEM

Occupational & Environmental Health Foundation

The Occupational & Environmental Health Foundation (OEHF) was founded in 2002 to advance the knowledge of occupational and environmental health and to promote and protect the health of workers through preventive services, clinical care, research, and educational programs.

The foundation's mission was accomplished through the funding of research and education in the field of occupational and environmental health. The OEHF improved lives every day by providing scholarships to OEM residents so they could attend AOHC and participate in ACOEM webinars and courses.

OEHF built resources and created opportunities to train occupational medicine professionals for the future. In 2018, ACOEM announced the grand opening of its Occupational & Environmental Medicine Learning Center, a physical space located alongside the ACOEM headquarters offices, to host live courses and the filming of enduring materials to support the profession and OEM practitioners. The OEM Learning Center was made possible by donations to the OEHF.

The OEHF Foundation completed its activities in 2022. We invite you to learn more about the OEM Future Fund, a new initiative to secure the future of occupational and environmental medicine and the workers, workplaces and environments we serve.
