ACOEM Seeks Members to Serve on Evidence-based Practice Eye Panel
ACOEM plans to begin an update to its Practice Guideline on Eye Disorders this Spring and is seeking individuals to join an expert panel dedicated to developing recommendations for eye disorders. Utilizing ACOEM’s guideline development methodology, a research team will conduct a comprehensive literature review and compile evidence tables focused on diagnostic considerations and treatment options for eye disorders. The expert panel will utilize these evidence tables to evaluate the strength of the evidence and formulate appropriate recommendations. Most of the panel's work will be conducted via email or teleconference. ACOEM’s Practice Guidelines are published in MDGuidelines®.
Experience in conducting formal reviews of medical literature or previous involvement in guideline development or consensus panels is highly desirable. If you're interested in applying to join the Eye Panel, please contact Julie Ording to receive the application materials due March 31, 2025.
