Submission Guidelines
We’re looking for ACOEM members to contribute original content to ACOEM Quarterly! Whether you’ve got a perspective on racial equity in healthcare, insights into how the environment impacts worker health, tips for screening law enforcement officers, or a totally different angle. We want to hear from you!
Articles can be editorial or educational in tone, and we’re open to fresh ideas from across the OEM spectrum. All submissions may be edited for clarity and length.
Submission Guidelines:
- Articles should be submitted as a Microsoft Word file and stay under 900 words.
- No need to worry about spacing or fonts, we’ll take care of the formatting.
- Educational articles should be written in third person (no “I” or “we”).
- Include the author’s name and credentials in the byline.
- Add a short bio for the lead author (this won’t count toward your word limit). Include your current role, ACOEM involvement, employer, and any other relevant info.
- If possible, send along one or two visuals, such as charts, graphs, photos, or infographics, with a short caption. Just make sure you have the rights to use them and cite your source if needed. If any image includes a patient, written consent must be provided.
- Got an idea for a recurring article or series? Pitch it to us! Email aq@acoem.org.
Submit Content to AQ
ACOEM Quarterly is intended to provide ACOEM members with a forum to express opinions and share knowledge. AQ is seeking anecdotes involving your practice and/or research, interesting OEM facts and information, and, while not a scientific publication, will consider case reports and other clinical topics.
