ACOEM and ACLM Release New Guide to Bringing Lifestyle Medicine into Workplaces
ACOEM and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) have released the Guide to Bringing Lifestyle Medicine into Workplaces, a joint resource for employers, benefits leaders, occupational health professionals, and lifestyle medicine clinicians.
The guide translates the six pillars of lifestyle medicine into practical workplace policies and systems, aligning them with occupational and environmental medicine, Total Worker Health®, and population health strategies.

ACOEM President-Elect Dr. Faiyaz Bhojani Honored by Marquis Who's Who
ACOEM President-Elect Dr. Faiyaz Bhojani has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who in recognition of more than 40 years of contributions to medicine, occupational and environmental health, and public health leadership.
Dr. Bhojani currently serves as Global Public Health Consultant and Fractional Health Director for Sherwin-Williams, CEO of Corporate Health Solutions 21st, and Professor and Executive in Residence at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health.
Med Student Credits ACOEM Member Dr. John Clarke for OEM "Aha" Moment
In a recent Doximity Op-Med essay, fourth-year medical student Ted Kim credits ACOEM Member Dr. John Clarke with introducing him to occupational and environmental medicine.
Kim recalls hearing Dr. Clarke speak at a Suffolk Medical Society symposium about his work overseeing health and safety at Brookhaven National Laboratory, and Dr. Clarke's talk set Kim on a path toward OEM, which he's now pursuing for residency after attending AOHC last year.
ACOEM Member Dr. Nicholas Blonien Spends a Day as a Firefighter
ACOEM Member Dr. Nicholas Blonien recently traded his usual attire for turnout gear through the City of Milwaukee's "Firefighter for a Day" program.
Dr. Blonien took part in hands-on drills, including vehicle extraction with the Jaws of Life®, breaching simulated burning buildings with axes, ladder climbs, and carrying hose up flights of stairs to extinguish a live fire.
Dr. Blonien partners with the Milwaukee Fire Department on job-specific screenings for new firefighter onboarding, health education, and work injury care. Read more here!
