Council Charges
Supports the College's strategic plan, mission, vision, and budgetary plan.
Develops or facilitates development of position statements and guidance documents on issues of importance related to the practice of OEM.
Addresses socioeconomic issues related to OEM, including coding and how physicians receive payment for the services they provide, utilization review, return to work, emergency preparedness, etc.
Assists the ACOEM Board of Directors in matters related to the practice of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM).
Collaborates with other councils on projects as needed.
Oversees the activities of the Excellence in Corporate Health Achievement Award.
Develops or prepares public positions for review and approval of the ACOEM Executive Committee.
Is responsible for oversight, maintenance, periodic updates, and additions to the Basic Occupational Health Guides web product.
