Council Charges

  1. Supports the College's vision, mission, strategic plan, and principles of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.  
  2. Develops strategic communication processes to external audiences. Monitors media to maintain mutually supportive relationships.
  3. Responds to relevant / emerging current events that are opportunities for increasing ACOEM visibility. 
  4. Builds and maintains external relationships in order to enhance OEM visibility and promote the value of OEM.
  5. Promotes member engagement in increasing OEM visibility through developing media training materials, guidelines, and programs. Grows and develops media ambassadors within ACOEM.
  6. Oversees a new Occupational and Environmental Medicine Media Excellence Award program.
  7. Communicates to the public on behalf of ACOEM Councils, Committees, and Members.
