JOEM-Published Research Sheds Light on PFAS Exposure in Firefighters
New research published in the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine is offering actionable insights into how workplace practices and personal behaviors influence PFAS exposure among U.S. career firefighters.
The study, which analyzed blood samples from more than 2,000 firefighters across seven states, found that factors like AFFF use, years of service, and drinking water source were linked to higher PFAS levels.
